The sport of triathlon has been one of the most important discoveries of my life. I was born with Ulcerative Colitis which caused a lot of pain for my family and I early on in my life. Once I found medication that worked, I used this sport as a platform to raise awareness for this condition. Somehow, as I was pursing that goal some amazing stuff happened. I was featured on the front page of menshealth.com, received a temporary sponsorship with Under Armour to go run in Death Valley, and I've also been featured in media developed for races like the SOS race in New Paltz, and even pharmaceutical companies trying to highlight the positives that can come from using certain medications.

Aside from that, I'm a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and NSCA C.S.C.S. Additionally, I'm trying to finish up my masters in education with a focus on biology but I would love to become a health educator. I have an eclectic group of friends and a stellar set of parents and an extremely tough sister who is a parent of two adorable twins. I'm hoping I can impart some of my love for running/fitness onto them as they grow older.
