David Martin is a 3x All American and 2x Team USA elite amateur triathlete. David is a USA triathlon certified coach. In 2019 he competed on behalf of team USA at the ITU Triathlon World championships in Lausanne, Switzerland where he placed 13th in his division. He is currently in his third year of his PhD in Exercise Science at the Korey Stringer Institute at the University of Connecticut where he studies thermoregulation. He is the Associate Director of Athlete Performance and Safety. He received his undergraduate degree at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He received his Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University where he was a graduate assistant in the human performance laboratory. During his master’s thesis, David focused on the effects of creatine supplementation on thermoregulation and endurance performance in well trained endurance athletes.
